View team activity and stack reports in Dash

The information in this article applies to admins on Dropbox Dash accounts.

If you’re an admin on a Dropbox Dash team account, you can view membership, activity, and stacks data for your team. You can also create and export reports to share with others.

How to view team membership data

  2. Log in to dash.ai using your admin credentials. 
  3. Select Admin console.
  4. Click Members.
  5. Click on their name to open their profile. You’ll see the following information: 
    • Email: The member’s basic contact information.
    • User type: The person’s role within the organization. User types include:
      • Team admin
      • User management admin
      • Support admin
      • Member
    • Usage: The amount of storage space that member is.
    • Member since: The date the member joined your Dash team. 
    • Group membership: The list of groups the member belongs to.

Note: Membership activity typically appears in activity logs within a few hours.

How to view and export Dash activity reports

Admins can generate and export detailed reports showing when a member performs the following actions in Dash:

  • Added or removed an app
  • Opened dash.ai for the first time
  • Opened the Dash desktop app for the first time

To generate and export a report on a member’s activity:

  1. Log in to dash.ai using your admin credentials.
  2. Click your avatar (profile picture or initials) in the lower left.
  3. Select Admin console.
  4. Under Products, click Dash, then click Settings.
  5. In the Security section, click Open next to Security logging.
  6. Use the filters to select the type of activity events and time period to retrieve the data you’d like to export.
  7. Click Apply.
  8. Click Create report to the right of your filters.
  9. Click Generate in the pop-up window. Download the file to your computer.

How to view and export stack activity reports

Admins can generate and export detailed reports showing when a member performs the following actions on stacks:

  • Adds, deletes, or edits a comment in a stack
  • Creates, clones, renames, archives, or deletes a stack
  • Checks access permissions to a stack
  • Opens a stack
  • Adds, shares, or removes a link to a stack
  • Changes the audience of a shared link to a stack

To generate and export a report on a user’s stack activity:

  1. Log in to dash.ai using your admin credentials.
  2. Click your avatar (profile picture or initials) in the lower left.
  3. Select Admin console.
  4. Under Products, click Dash, then click Settings.
  5. In the Security section, click Open next to Security logging.
  6. Click the Activities filter, and enter “Stack” in the search field.
  7. Use the filters to select the type of stack activities and time period to retrieve the data you’d like to export.
  8. Click Apply.
  9. Click Create report to the right of your filters.
  10. Click Generate in the pop-up window. Download the file to your computer.
